While you could paint the exterior or interior of your house yourself there are several reasons why you might want us do it. You need to select the right sort of paint for wood, aluminium, vinyl, stucco, or masonry. To get the best results you need to apply the best primer to achieve a smooth, professional finish, block stains, and prevent peeling. Cracks and imperfections need to be patched or caulked. Importantly, removal of old paint by sanding or scraping could create dust or fumes that contain lead and might require the use of proper protective equipment.
